“Beit Tarbut” – Jewish Secular Education and Cultural Centre
Hashomer Hatzair has successfully opened Beit Tarbut, a Jewish youth and cultural centre in Berlin. It serves as a safe space for Jewish children, young people and their families, where identity formation and intercultural exchange are actively promoted.
With a focus on secular Jewish traditions, the centre offers regular workshops, cultural events, youth groups and educational events. Our goal is to empower a new generation of young Jews and promote visible Jewish life in order to send a strong signal against anti-Semitism and discrimination.
New logo and clear distinction
We are now using the new ‘Beit Tarbut’ logo to clearly distinguish between projects for our youth and offerings for adults, educators and activists aged 18 and older. ‘Beit Tarbut’ (cultural centre in Hebrew) stands for the vision of a secular Jewish educational and cultural centre that opens up new spaces for exchange and engagement.
