Call for a Steering Committee: „Koleinu – unsere Stimme“

In March 2026, our education and cultural centre will launch a new integration project for adults called ‘Koleinu – our voice’.

We cordially invite interested parties to become part of the Steering Committee and help shape the project from the very beginning!

At the first meeting, we got to know each other and discussed some initial ideas. At the next meeting, we will present more concrete ideas and plan the coming semester together.

What is ‘Koleinu’ all about?

With ‘Koleinu – our voice’, we want to create a political education programme for Israeli and Jewish adults in Berlin
who have immigrated to Germany and whose native language is usually not German.

In a series of workshops lasting several months (one semester), we will:

• • Offer weekly reading circles
  • Hold political education workshops

(approx. 6 per semester)

The project combines language acquisition with political education – both general and specific to the political system in Germany.
We reflect on everyday issues, experiences of discrimination and talk about rights and options for action.

At the end of the semester, participants will develop and implement their own small participatory project – accompanied by our team.

The Steering Committee

In the Steering Committee, we plan the semester together, coordinate dates and further develop the content.
Here, there is room for your own ideas to actively influence the workshop programme.
