A new year has begun – and with it new tasks, new ideas and a growing circle of children, teenagers and young adults who find a home at Hashomer Hatzair.

Our movement has grown steadily in recent years. More chanichimot, more madrichimot, more educational work, more responsibility. We are delighted with this growth – and it obliges us to ensure that our work remains stable, accessible and sustainable in the long term.

What we do – and why we need resources

Hashomer Hatzair Germany is a voluntary, non-profit organisation dedicated to youth and educational work. Our activities now extend far beyond traditional group work:

• We develop educational materials for educational work in Jewish and non-Jewish educational institutions
• We organise international encounters, carry out exchange projects and welcome delegations from other countries
• We cooperate with Jewish and non-Jewish partner organisations, civil society initiatives and educational institutions
• We create learning spaces on Jewish identity, remembrance culture, anti-Semitism, peace and social justice

All of this thrives on commitment – and at the same time requires reliable financial foundations in order to be implemented in a high-quality, responsible and continuous manner.

Why we need your support now

So that this year, too, we can:

• offer regular group work, seminars and educational formats
• maintain international cooperation and encounters
• further develop educational materials and make them accessible
• provide grants for low-income families
• allow our structures to grow along with the movement

we need planning security and sustainable support.

For us, sustainability means not only content –
but also stable structures, fair conditions for volunteers and the opportunity to think long-term about educational work.
