Job Vacancy: Youth Work Coordination – 30h/week

Hashomer Hatzair Germany is a left-wing, democratic and emancipatory secular Jewish youth organisation. At Ken Berlin, we organise Jewish community life, educational activities and international exchanges for children, teenagers and young adults.

We are looking for a committed individual to take on the educational and organisational coordination of our Ken Berlin. Together with volunteers, families and the board, you will coordinate the youth organisation’s educational work, organise events and support the further development of our community.

Place of work: Berlin-Friedrichshain

Your responsibilities

• Supporting the volunteer youth leaders
• Planning and running educational programmes and events
• Working with children, young people and families
• Recruiting new participants
• Project management and public relations

Requirements & time commitments

• Experience of working with volunteers
• Organisational skills and the ability to work independently
• An interest in youth association work
• Identification with the values of Hashomer Hatzair
• Very good level of English
